Finn Bálor got his revenge at “The Grandest Stage of Them All”

The Demon returned at WrestleMania 42, and Finn Bálor delivered a punishing statement in a chaotic Street Fight against Dominik Mysterio. Fueled by intensity and theatrics, Bálor overwhelmed his opponent in a match defined by weapons, violence, and resilience.

Dominik showed hesitation from the outset, repeatedly backing away as Bálor crawled toward him with eerie intent. Once inside the ring, the Demon exploded into action, taking Mysterio down with a double-leg and unleashing grounded punches.

The aggression only escalated as Bálor removed part of his Demon attire and used it as a weapon before heading outside to retrieve a kendo stick. He struck Mysterio repeatedly, setting the tone for a no-holds-barred encounter.

Weapons and chaos dominate the fight

Mysterio responded by introducing chairs into the equation, throwing several into the ring and using them to strike Bálor across the back. He even set up a makeshift chair contraption, attempting to gain control through calculated brutality.

However, Bálor countered with a gourdbuster onto the chairs, followed by a Sling Blade that swung momentum back in his favor. The pace remained relentless as both men traded impactful strikes and counters.

Dominik found a breakthrough with a superkick, dropkick, and a perfectly executed “619,” followed by a frog splash, but Bálor astonishingly kicked out at one. The moment highlighted the Demon’s near-supernatural resilience.

The match continued to escalate as weapons became central to every exchange. Mysterio leaned a table in the corner and capitalized on an opening, driving Bálor through it after another superkick, momentarily seizing control.

He doubled down with a chair-assisted “619” and another frog splash, yet the Demon still refused to stay down. Frustration began to show as Mysterio repeatedly struck Bálor with a chair, trying to end the match through sheer force.

Despite the punishment, Bálor fought back with relentless chair shots of his own, turning the tide once again. He set Mysterio on a table, signalling the beginning of the end.

With precision and finality, Bálor ascended the top rope and delivered a decisive Coup de Grace through the table. The impact secured the pinfall victory, completing a dominant and violent performance.

The Demon’s return proved to be more than a spectacle; it was a reminder of Bálor’s dangerous edge when pushed to his limits.

Winner: Finn Bálor (Via Pinfall)
