Natalya is going to the indie circuit
WWE veteran Natalya Neidhart is stepping back into the independent scene spotlight. This time in a main event role at a show produced by none other than WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.
Set for June 28th in Texas City, Texas, Natalya is officially headlining Reality of Wrestling’s “Heart and Soul”, an all-women’s showcase presented by Booker T’s promotion.
The announcement marks a continued trend of WWE allowing contracted talent to work select independent dates, and Natalya is embracing the opportunity to keep competing outside WWE’s regular programming.
Earlier this year, the Queen of Harts appeared in both GCW’s Bloodsport and NWA’s Crockett Cup, turning heads in the process.
Her match at Reality of Wrestling will see her face Promise Braxton, a rising name on the indies who’s been building a strong reputation in ROW.
Natalya took to social media to fan the flames ahead of her match, directly calling out Booker T with a sharp message:
“Booker, by all means walk your chosen one to the ring when NATTIE gets to Texas. As long as you’re prepared to carry her back out again.”
ROW followed up the back-and-forth by confirming the bout on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“After multiple shots fired and tension building online it’s now been officially signed!!! WWE Superstar @NatbyNature will go one-on-one with @PromiseBraxton this Saturday in a match you do NOT want to miss!”
The matchup holds significance not only because of Natalya’s presence, but because it places the multi-time WWE women’s champion at the top of the card in a promotion run by a fellow WWE legend.
Booker T, who has utilized Reality of Wrestling to spotlight both up-and-coming stars and established veterans, continues to bridge the gap between mainstream and independent wrestling.
For Natalya, this isn’t a farewell tour; it’s a statement. Even with a Hall of Fame-worthy WWE resume, she’s showing fans and peers alike that she still craves competition, no matter where it takes place.
On June 28, the wrestling world will be watching as WWE’s longest-tenured female superstar headlines a Texas showdown, proving once again why she’s still one of the most respected performers in the game.
