Roman Reigns is one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time

WWE’s Roman Reigns may soon leave the squared circle for the silver screen. According to Deadline’s Matt Grobar, the multi-time world champion is in talks to feature in a live-action Street Fighter film based on the worldwide hit video game franchise.

While little details about the film have been revealed, it is being created by Legendary Entertainment, the company that presently owns the Street Fighter property.

If confirmed, this would be Roman Reigns’ second significant move into Hollywood, following parts in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and The Wrong Missy.

The star-studded cast could include Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo & Roman Reigns

According to Deadline, numerous other high-profile celebrities are allegedly involved in the movie, including Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, and Noah Centineo, implying that the film would include a star-studded ensemble cast.

“A pro wrestler born Leati Joseph Anoa’i with one of the longest world title reigns in WWE history,” Deadline noted in its background on Reigns, “he is repped by Bad Toro and Torres Benet.”

This significant Hollywood development coincides with Reigns’ absence from WWE television. He was last seen on Raw during WrestleMania 41 in April 2025, where he was viciously attacked by Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, leaving his future with the business undetermined.

According to Jeff Sneider, Roman Reigns will portray Akuma, the Street Fighter series’ formidable warrior powered by black energy who debuted in Super Street Fighter II Turbo (1994).

Ryu and Ken’s master is Gouken’s younger brother, Akuma. Jason Momoa is said to be playing for Blanka. Andrew Koji plays Ryu, the eponymous “street fighter,” a martial artist who has mastered the technique of Ansatsuken and traverses the world in quest of good opponents to fight.

Noah Centineo will be playing Ken Masters, Ryu’s buddy and adversary, who trained with him from an early age. If everything works well, this would be the Street Fighter live-action cast.

If true, Reigns would reach a big career milestone as he continues to gain traction outside of WWE while staying one of the most well-known names in sports entertainment.
