Uncle Howdy’s Wyatt 6 faction status for WWE SmackDown.

Uncle Howdy paid tribute to Bray Wyatt in a subtle but significant way during the June 17 episode of WWE RAW. Uncle Howdy’s Wyatt 6 faction made a dramatic entrance after Jey Uso qualified for the Men’s Money in the Bank 2024 ladder match. This faction’s arrival marked a turning point for the red brand, with their ominous presence and brutal backstage assaults leaving a lasting impression.

The Wyatt Sicks made their presence felt during the final moments of RAW. They launched a series of backstage attacks targeting several WWE superstars, including Chad Gable. The faction then appeared on the entrance ramp, where Uncle Howdy proclaimed, “We’re here!” before blowing out the lantern, signaling their dominance.

WrestlingWorldCC noted on social media that Uncle Howdy wore Bray Wyatt’s iconic red circle on his top hat during the debut, a poignant nod to Wyatt’s legacy. Uncle Howdy is portrayed by Bo Dallas, Bray Wyatt’s real-life brother, adding a layer of authenticity and emotion to the faction’s storyline.

Potential SmackDown appearance

With the buzz surrounding their debut, fans eagerly anticipate whether The Wyatt Sicks will appear on SmackDown this week. Given their RAW debut’s strategic and impactful nature, it’s plausible that WWE might leverage their momentum across both brands to maximize their storyline impact.

The Wyatt Sicks can potentially become one of the most memorable factions in WWE history. Achieving this requires diligent effort and creative storytelling to keep the narrative fresh and engaging. WWE has set a high bar with its debut and plans to build on this strong foundation with bigger and better storylines in the future.

Creative concerns and future plans

Former WWE writer Vince Russo expressed skepticism about how The Wyatt Sicks would be booked on RAW. On Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW show, Russo questioned the creative direction for the faction, wondering how the characters would transition into regular wrestling roles. He said:

“I’m telling you man, as a writer that had a wild, wild imagination and always thought outside the box. I don’t even know where you go with something like this. You mean to tell me these characters are gonna be wrestlers in a wrestling ring?”

The Wyatt Sicks, consisting of Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Bo Dallas, have been teased for a long time. Their arrival on RAW has set high expectations, and only time will tell how WWE plans to sustain this momentum.
