Van Dijk has two years left on his Liverpool contract

A great player from Liverpool, Virgil van Dijk, has received a proposal from Saudi Arabia and is being pursued by Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga powerhouses have reportedly asked the Dutch defender about his availability in the summer, but they haven’t made a firm offer to the Premier League’s biggest clubs, as reported by Sports Zone. Ever since Jurgen Klopp announced Van Dijk’s exit from the team, there has been conjecture about his future at Anfield.

A ‘great’ offer has apparently been made for the Netherlands international by Al-Qadisiah, a newly promoted Saudi Pro League team, who are also eager to recruit the 32-year-old before the 2024–2025 season, according to the source.

The former Southampton defender recently discussed working with fellow countryman and new Reds manager Arne Slot, expressing his expectation that the present Feyenoord coach will succeed at Anfield. During his illustrious tenure at Anfield, Van Dijk has captured the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup thus far.

The Merseyside team will look to bounce back from back-to-back dismal performances against Everton and West Ham when they play Tottenham Hotspur in a crucial Premier League match on Sunday.

Al-Qadisiah, a Saudi club that will play in the top division next season, has already offered Van Dijk a “fantastic” offer. Bayern Munich has also recently made inquiries about the Dutchman, although no firm moves have been taken to sign him.

When quizzed about his position in the new Liverpool period, Van Dijk said, “I don’t know.” However, he later explained that he meant to say that those remarks were taken out of context. Although Van Dijk is not “inflexible,” Sports Zone is aware of his wish to stay with the Merseyside club this summer, according to the French daily.
