Why AEW All In London 2023 was a huge success?
AEW hosted one of the grandest events in the wrestling industry yesterday AEW All In London on August 27, 2023 at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The show was such a huge success that it broke multiple all time records. Here are some of the reasons to prove why AEW All In was a huge success.
First AEW Event in the United Kingdom
AEW All In 2023, marks AEW’s first event outside North America, first event in the United Kingdom, and the first event to be held in an association Football Stadium. It is also the first professional wrestling event to be held in the Wembley Stadium in 30 years.
Breaking Records
The AEW All In event broke all time attendance and revenue records and set a new benchmark on the first day sales alone. It broke Grand Slam’s previous record of 20,177 fans and $1 million revenue on the very first day. All In London has an attendance record of 81,035 live audience. Which broke WWE’s previous record of the WrestleMania 32 event’s paid attendance record of 80,709.
AEW All In 2023, now holds the third largest overall attendance in pro-wrestling history behind the Day 1 and Day 2 record of Collision in Korea event of NJPW & WCW. All In had generated a revenue of $10 million USD from the live gates, breaking the record of Collision in Korea’s Day 2 record of $8.5 million.
Broke the Monopoly
WWE has been the monopoly of the wrestling industry with few non-potential rivals. Since AEW’s launch in 2019, it has strived a lot to overcome the dominance of WWE in the wrestling industry. Although WWE see it as a secondary promotion, AEW has now broken the monopoly domination of WWE by surpassing Pro-wrestling grandest event’s record on the very first edition of AEW All In.
Huge Main Event and a Big Match Card
AEW had showcased some of the best match cards and a huge main event. A friendly rivalry in the main event pulled out a great drama and attention of the wrestling fans. Two of the young talents MJF and Adam Cole promoted their match together, by building interest on who will turn on his best friend first.
Other than the main event the long term feud with CM Punk and Samoa Joe, blood filled Stadium Stampede match, fatal four way Women’s Championship match and promising Trios Championship pulled a wide audience across the globe.
