Edge (Adam Copeland) made a surprise debut at AEW on the AEW WrestleDream, which has been the hottest topic in the wrestling industry. Copeland arrived with his existing team “Metalingus” and saved Darby Allin and Sting from brutal assault from his longtime friend Christian Cage, LuchaSaurus and Nick Wayne. Following that he participated in the pot-show media scrum and answered the questions of journalists. Copeland had not only done that, he also filed multiple trademarks the same day.

Adam Copeland files Trademarks

Adam Copeland has filed multiple trademarks in the United States Patent and Trademark Office through Wer Yeti, Inc on the day of his AEW debut. Copeland has filed trademarks for phrases “ICONOCLAST, THE ROGUE, LEDGEND & COPE”. Here are the purposes of why the trademark has been registered.

“ICONOCLAST” & “LEDGEND” trademark registrations are intended to cover the categories of bandanas; Hats; Shirts; Socks; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.

“THE ROGUE” & “COPE” trademark registrations are intended to cover the categories of entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.

The reason why he debuted with his real name “Adam Copeland” is because WWE holds the trademark rights for the name “Edge”. However, no trademarks have been filed to use the “Rated R Superstar” phrase at present, as WWE abandoned it in 2020. His Indie wrestling name “Sexton Hardcastle” is also not trademarked yet.
