The 2023 AEW WrestleDream is an upcoming AEW Pay-per-view, which is scheduled to take place on October 1, 2023 at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. This event is a tribute to the founder of New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), Antonio Inoki, as it is his first year death anniversary. The event pledges to begin with a Ten Bell Salute to show respect and to remember Inoki. AEW has confirmed a total of 14 matches for the event, including wrestlers of AEW, ROH and NJPW. Here is a complete preview of the match card and predictions based on the news and rumors.

AEW World Trios Championship Match

Billy Gun and The Acclaimed will defend their AEW World Trios Championship against Shane Haste, Mikey Nicholls and Bad Dude Tito of TMDK from NJPW. This match is scheduled to be held at the Zero Hour of the event. As per speculation Billy and The Acclaimed will retain the AEW World Trios Championship and will have a great celebration post match with the Scissors Celebration.

Luchasaurus vs Nick Wayne

Luchasaurus will go one on one against Nick Wayne in a singles match. This is one of the big matches for the 18 year old third generation wrestler to prove his in-ring skills against the former TNT Champion. This match is scheduled to happen at the Zero Hour of the event. As per speculations, Luchasaurus will defeat Nick Wayne

Josh Barnett vs Claudio Castagnoli

Claudio Castagnoli will go one on one with former Mixed Martial Artist and NJPW star Josh Barnett in a singles' match. This match is scheduled to happen at the Zero Hour of the event. As per speculations Josh Barnett will defeat Claudio Castagnoli.

Eight Person Mixed Tag Team Match

Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty, Diamante and Mercedes Martinez will be fighting Satoshi Kojika, Keith Lee, Athena, Billie Starkz. As per speculations Kojita, Lee, Athe and Starkz will win the match.

Bryan Danielson vs Zack Sabre Jr.

Bryan Danielson will face NJPW World TV Champion Zack Sabre Jr. in a non-title singles match. Both had a match long back in front of 45 people at Heartland Wrestling in 2008, where Byran recalled and issued a challenge.

As per speculations, Bryan Danielson will win the match once again to repeat what happened in the past.

“Hangman” Adam Page vs Swerve Strickland

"Hangman" Adam Page will go one-on-one with Swerve Strickland. This is one of the important matches for Swerve Strickland, as he is looking for his biggest singles win in a long time. As per speculations Sverve would pull out a major win by defeating the former AEW World Champion.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match

FTR will defend their AEW World Tag Team Championship against the former ROH World Tag Team Champions Aussie Open. As per speculations, FTR will retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

ROH World Tag Team Championship Match- Two on One Handicap Match

Since Adam Cole is suffering from a leg injury, MJF will defend the ROH World Tag Team Championship alone against Vince and Dutch of The Righteous in a 2 on 1 handicap match. As per speculations, MJF will retain the tag team golds single handedly

Six-Man Tag Team Match- Chris Jericho & The Golden Elite vs The Don Callis Family

All the members of the Jericho Association Society left Jericho alone. Sami Guevara and Jericho faced each other at AEW Grand Slam, where Guavara low blowed Jericho and won. The following week when Jericho was attacked by Guevara, Kenny Omega came to rescue him. Omega then added Jericho to his team with Kota Ibushi to take on Konosuke Takeshita, Sammy Guevara and Will Ospreay.

As per speculations, The Don Callis family might win the match, as they have the clear upperhand.

AEW TNT Championship Match- Two out of Three Falls Match

Luchasaurus won the AEW TNT Championship, but Christian took his championship and claimed himself as the real TNT Champion. At AEW Collision, Saurus defended his TNT Championship against Darby Allin and Christian Cage, where Cage pinned Luchasaurus to win the championship. As Allin asked for a rematch for the title, Cage will defend the TNT Championship in a two out of three falls match.

As per speculations, Christian Cage will retain the championship with the help of Luchasaurus and an unexpected member might debut following the win.

ROH World Championship & Strong Openweight Championship Match

Eddie Kingston won the ROH World Championship by defending his Strong Openweight Championship on the line in a winner-takes-all match against Claudio Castagnolli. He will be defending both the titles on the line against Katsuyori Shibata. 

As per speculations, Eddie Kingston will retain the championship title in a hard fought match.

AEW TBS Championship Match

Kris Statlander will defend her AEW TBS Championship on the line against Julia Hart. As per speculations, Kris Statlander will retain the title and will continue her dominating reign.

Four-way Tag Team #1 Contenders Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship

The Young Bucks, The Gunns, Lucha Brothers, and Orange Cassidy & Hook will battle in a four way tag team match to become the #1 contender for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

As per speculations, Orange Cassidy and Hook will get the win and challenge FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship in the upcoming ppv.

Ricky Starks vs Wheeler Yuta

Ricky Starks has been in a feud with the Blackpool Combat Club. He attacked Bryan Danielson before and lost to him in a strap match. Now he will go one-on-one against Wheetler Yuta of Blackpool Combat Club.

As per predictions, Rick Starks will win the match by defeating Wheeler Yuta.

AEW Dynamite is scheduled to be aired live on October 2, 2023 (Monday) early morning at 4.30 am IST on Eurosport and Eurosport HD.
