Ric Flair accuses people of being jealous of his return to television

Ric Flair made his AEW debut last week and was later informed that the “Nature Boy” got signed with a multi-year contract with the company. After his debut Flair appeared in an interview with Variety where the Dirty player of the game said that at this age he could still stalk better than anybody and spoke of his desire to face MJF.

“I can still talk better than anybody. They’ll find out if they turn me loose. “I’m dying to go one on one with MJF, man. It would get a rating too. Let’s talk, young man.” and stated that he is medically cleared to compete.

A Wrestling match at 74-years-old?

To which Dutch Mantell at SmackTalk said that he is not interested to see Ric Flair wrestle at the age of 74. He said,

“He said he’s been cleared to have a match…Please, Ric, please don’t have a match…Okay, anyway, that leads to a match, I know where it’s leading. Please don’t do it. AEW now is looking like “All Elderly Wrestling” really. I think a wrestler should have a cut-off age where they can’t get back in the ring anymore, basically, you talk about making it look folly,”

Ric Flair on people being jealous of his return

Following the negative comments Fair has recently interviewed with Marc Raimondi of ESPN, where he accused that many people are jealous of him being on television.

Ric Flair said, “I don’t know. I mean, we’ve got a structured deal in place, but you know me. Have gun will travel if they need me. I’m available and they will always treat me fair. We all want to be together for the show and the guys were great. People were friendly.“

“At my age, the world of jealousy has never been bigger. You don’t think there’s a lot of jealous people that I’m back on TV? You’re out of your mind. You know that adage that you want to see somebody do good, but not too good.”
