Will MJF wrestle his final AEW match at World’s End?

MJF has been in AEW from the start of the company and has been highly successful in his reign. He stood undefeated for almost a year and a half, he held the Dynamite Diamond Ring for more than four years, and is the current AEW World Champion on his first reign.
Although having a huge success in AEW, Maxwell has always been referencing WWE and expressed his wish to work there, even on AEW television. He previously revealed that he didn’t sign a contract extension with AEW and his contract is ending on January 1, 2024. With less than three days from his contract expiring, MJF will be having his final match this Saturday.
MJF’s Final Match in AEW?
On December 30, 2023 at AEW World’s End, MJF will be defending his AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe in a singles match at the main event. The 2023 World’s End will be hosted live from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, which is the homestate of Maxwell. This could be his final match in AEW under his current contract, as there is no update if he would continue re-signing with the company or would leave AEW for WWE or for a major money bid.
Three days before the PPV at AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash, Friedman and Joe defended the ROH Tag Team Championship against the masked mens of the devil. Where Samoa Joe was attacked before the match and MJF lost the titles. After the match, the masked men attacked MJF and Joe came to the aid, but it was then revealed that Joe had a deal with the Devil. He attacked MJF with the chair and set the final hype for the match.
MJF also spoke about his physical conditions as he is not being 100% as he is having issues with his left shoulder, hip being a mess, couldn’t able to sleep and so on ahead of his match. As per the tease and note, MJF could likely lose his AEW World Championship this Saturday Night.
