Samoa Joe wins, Konosuke Takeshita retains, Timeless Toni Storm wants Mariah May & more!

It’s AEW’s return to the Daily’s Place venue in Jacksonville, Florida where they performed during the Pandemic Era. To honor that period, the main event featured a Trios bout with Daniel Garcia, Daddy Magic, and a return of “Cool Hand” Ang. They locked horns with the Undisputed Kingdom.

Due to poor weather on Wednesday, Samoa Joe against Nick Wayne was rescheduled for tonight. Joe returned to AEW last week to assist his friends, HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata, after The Patriarchy assaulted them during the former’s bout against Christian Cage.

Following Katsuyori Shibata’s victory on ROH’s 100th episode, a promotional video featuring Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita aired. Takeshita challenged Shibata tonight and is putting his International Championship on the line. In another championship bout, Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada defended his belt against ROH World TV Champion Komander.

Deonna Purrazzo faced Queen Aminata, Yuka Sakazaki, and Serena Deeb in a Number One contender battle. The winner will face Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship on AEW Dynamite next week. Mariah May, the AEW Women’s Champion, will face Toni Storm for the first time since Storm won the inaugural Women’s Gauntlet match at “Grand Slam Australia”.

Brody King and Buddy Matthews are “just violence” and planned to prove it against Gates of Agony. We may find out what their new tag team name is now that Malakai Black has left.

Get to know what happened this Saturday, as we have the complete summary, highlights, results, and winner’s list for the 01/25 episode of Collision Homecoming.
