AEW Dynamite Beach Break 2025: Preview, match card, news, timings, telecast details & more

AEW Dynamite has some interesting matchups this week
When AEW returns to its second home, Chicago, Illinois, for Beach Break this week, many unsolved concerns will be addressed before Double or Nothing. Some questions you may learn before Wednesday night. For example, I’ve discovered that we Brits have a totally different understanding of what a beach is!
For those battling on Wednesday, this will be far from a holiday. The wrestlers on the program will not be on a tropical, peaceful vacation. For some, like Jon Moxley, letting his guard down against Samoa Joe inside that steel cage means the end.
Instead of lazing at the pool and sipping cocktails, “Timeless” Toni Storm hopes to extend her Eliminator-winning run with another major four-way triumph. Chicago’s Skye Blue has returned. Who fills the remaining two slots? Another returnee? A debuting wrestler? Could there be another hazardous spider sighting? Can anybody end Storm’s streak and earn a championship match?
On Collision, Ricochet attacked Zach Gowen, the first one-legged wrestling superstar. Stealing Gowen’s prosthetic limb, the former WWE wrestler achieves a full circle moment in his first national television match in almost two decades.
AEW Dynamite match card & segments
- Hangman Adam Page and Will Ospreay vs Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander
- Ricochet vs Zach Gowen
- AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: Toni Storm vs Skye Blue vs AZM vs Mina Shirakawa
- AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs Samoa Joe inside a steel cage
- Bobby Lashley will answer MJF
Hangman Adam Page and Will Ospreay vs Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander
A high-stakes tag team match has been officially announced for the May 14 episode of AEW Dynamite. Will Ospreay will join forces with ‘Hangman’ Adam Page to battle a mutual threat, the Don Callis Family.
Their opponents on the night will be Josh Alexander and Konosuke Takeshita, two of Callis’ most trusted allies. With tensions at a boiling point, this explosive tag team showdown promises plenty of action and chaos.
Ricochet vs Zach Gowen
Zach Gowen returns to the ring for the first time in over a year, facing Ricochet on AEW Dynamite on Wednesday.
Ricochet taunted Zach Gowen in front of his family as they sat ringside at AEW Collision on Thursday night. As Ricochet battled security personnel attempting to settle the scene, Gowen entered the ring but was overpowered by Ricochet, who took his leg in the process.
This argument will result in a match between the two guys in Chicago during the Dynamite: Beach Break special.
AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: Toni Storm vs Skye Blue vs AZM vs Mina Shirakawa
Toni Storm wrestles on this week’s AEW Dynamite. On Monday night, Tony Khan verified a Fightful Select Scoop, confirming that Storm will face Mina Shirakawa, Skye Blue, and the new NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion, AZM, in a Women’s World Championship Eliminator 4-Way match.
One of these women is AZM, who recently beat Mercedes Money and Mina Shirakawa to win the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship at NJPW Resurgence.
AZM won the match and will try to build on her momentum by defeating Blue, Storm, and one of her Resurgence opponents in Shirakawa. AZM actually pinned Shirakawa in that bout, and she now has the chance to do so again.
Toni Storm fought in a Women’s World Championship Eliminator 4-Way match last week against Anna Jay, Thunder Rosa, and Penelope Ford. Storm won that match and plans to do it again this week in Chicago.
AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs Samoa Joe inside a steel cage
The May 14 edition of AEW Dynamite will feature a brutal showdown as Jon Moxley puts his AEW World Championship on the line against Samoa Joe inside a steel cage.
With tensions running high and personal animosity fueling their rivalry, this match promises to be an all-out war. The unforgiving steel structure will only add to the chaos as both men look to settle the score and walk out as the undisputed champion.
Bobby Lashley will answer MJF
The Hurt Syndicate has quickly become one of AEW’s most consistent and entertaining factions. Their week-to-week segments, particularly with MJF trying to join the group, have drawn comparisons to Sami Zayn’s arc with The Bloodline, funny, engaging and creatively refreshing.
Despite some fans, especially women, expressing frustration with MJF’s character, the storyline continues to evolve in a smart and compelling way.
After weeks of failed bribes and confrontations, Bobby Lashley says he’ll make his decision. Has MJF done enough to earn a spot? Or will Lashley flip the script and force MJF to prove himself in a gauntlet ahead of Double or Nothing?
