AEW World Championship rematch is set to unfold this week on AEW Dynamite!
All Elite Wrestling returns to the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago for what promises to be one of the most consequential episodes of Dynamite in recent memory.
The July 30 edition features a blockbuster AEW World Championship rematch that carries significant implications for the upcoming Forbidden Door pay-per-view in London on August 24.
The main event showcases a fascinating dynamic shift from their previous encounter, as “Hangman” Adam Page defends his newly won title against former four-time champion Jon Moxley.
Unlike their brutal Texas Death Match at All In: Texas on July 12, where interference from multiple parties, including The Young Bucks, Swerve Strickland, and Bryan Danielson played pivotal roles, this rematch will feature a unique stipulation: everyone except the referee is banned from ringside.
This stipulation represents Page’s attempt to prove that he can defeat Moxley in a fair fight without external assistance, addressing Moxley’s claims that the champion “can’t handle the pressure.”
The episode also advances the World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament, with The Young Bucks facing The Outrunners in a quarterfinal bout that could have major ramifications for both teams’ futures.
Additionally, Maxwell Jacob Friedman will make a live appearance, continuing his complex storyline with The Hurt Syndicate as he pursues another championship opportunity.
AEW Dynamite match card & segments

AEW World Championship: Hangman Adam Page vs Jon Moxley (Everyone banned from ringside)
During Texas Death Match at All In: Texas. Page captured the title by forcing Moxley to submit using a steel chain, marking his second reign as AEW World Champion. However, their previous encounter was marred by significant interference from various parties, prompting Page to establish a ‘no interference’ stipulation for this bout.
Moxley is seeking to reclaim the championship for what would be his record-setting fifth reign, and has remained characteristically defiant following his loss in Texas.
The former champion acknowledged Page’s resilience at All In, stating “The Hangman fought the fight of his life” and found “something extraordinary” within himself. Yet Moxley questioned whether Page could replicate that performance consistently, challenging him to “get up and do it again tomorrow”.
The psychological warfare between both competitors reached its peak on the July 23 episode when Page brutally assaulted Wheeler Yuta with a steel chain, sending a clear message to Moxley and The Death Riders.
Page’s post-match declaration that “they’re not coming for you, they will never help you” demonstrated his willingness to match Moxley’s violent intensity. This aggression prompted Moxley’s backstage response, where he promised to “right the wrong” of All In: Texas.
The ban on ringside interference represents a significant shift from Moxley’s typical championship matches, which often featured assistance from The Death Riders.
With Marina Shafir, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli prohibited from ringside, both competitors must rely solely on their individual abilities. This stipulation favors Page’s preference for one-on-one competition while potentially neutralizing Moxley’s faction advantages.
