AEW Dynamite has some big names announced for this week
Last week’s AEW Dynamite laid the groundwork. There have been several teasers about the Dynasty card. With support from Collision, the three confirmed appetizers for this Wednesday’s illustrate AEW’s growing confidence.
There are more exciting things to come between now and Dynasty. Fans in Omaha, Nebraska, will be treated to an epic showdown between two powerhouses. Megan Bayne vs Kris Statlander appears to have a clear winner.
It appears like Bayne will likely battle “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship. But her opponent is Statlander, and if there is going to be an upset or difficulty, it will be her.
Dynamite might have two women’s matches, with Mercedes Mone vs Billy Starkz following their encounter last week. Despite confirmation, there has been no graphic for the match. If AEW puts any graphic we will update the article adding the match in the match card accordingly.
Two competitive women’s matches would help to alleviate the AEW’s women’s showcasing issue. Could this be an angle disguised as a match?
Each match carries high stakes for Dynasty, and we haven’t even mentioned the two greatest matchups. Cope’s Revolution match versus Jon Moxley was the PPV’s biggest gamble. It failed to meet violence or aspirations. It couldn’t equal the skyscraper-high standards set by The Hollywood Ending, the International Championship battle, or the steel cage bout.
Its squandered potential reflects some people’s perception that The Death Rider’s plot is out of sync with the rest of the creativity. Cope’s post-broken leg performances have fluctuated.
On Wednesday, both men’s tough-as-nails personalities run the danger of briefly undermining AEW’s expert use of violence to enhance storylines.
