AEW will bring back the Spring Breakthru theme this week.
With the conclusion of AEW Dynasty, fans have turned their attention to the fallout show of AEW Dynamite. This week, the show will bring back a familiar theme.
The Spring BreakThru branding is officially returning to AEW programming. The theme will be featured on this Wednesday’s live episode of AEW Dynamite and will extend to AEW Collision, which will air on Thursday instead of its usual Saturday slot.
The move is done to steer clear of direct competition from WrestleMania 42, which is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
Unlike last year’s Spring BreakThru this week’s setup will not include back-to-back live shows. Thursday’s Collision will be taped in Everett, Washington, right after Dynamite, which will air live. Angels of the Wind Arena in Everett will host the two-night special.
The show will feature the aftermath of the Dynasty PPV, and three explosive title matches have been announced for the show.
After defending the AEW World Champion, MJF will put it on the line once again on Wednesday against Darby Allin. Darby defeated Andrade El Idolo at AEW Dynasty to earn the title shot and called his shot later in the show. The two will now battle in the same city where Allin trained to wrestle.
On the other hand, after winning the Casino Gauntlet at the Death Riders’ expense, TNT Champion Kevin Knight defends the title against Claudio Castagnoli. Meanwhile, after attacking the TBS Champion Willow Nightingale, Kamille will get the opportunity to battle for the title against Nightingale following her return during Dynasty Zero Hour.
