The special returns in 2026 on AEW Dynamite.
AEW Summer Blockbuster will return this week with special shows of Dynamite and Collision. The TV special is a major stop on the road to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. The Dynamite part of the Special will emanate on Wednesday, June 10, from the Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
AEW has announced a stacked card, with matches and segments leading up to Forbidden Door on June 28. The Owen Hart Tournament is set to continue this week with two more matches in the men’s and women’s tournaments.
On the men’s side, Swerve Strickland will take on Brody King in the semifinals of the tournament. The winner of this match battles Will Ospreay in the finals of the tournament. Meanwhile, Skye Blue takes on Sareee in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The AEW Continental title is up for grabs on the special this Wednesday as reigning Champion Jon Moxley takes on Shane Taylor, who challenged the Champion, even attacking Moxley’s Death Riders stablemate Wheeler Yuta.
On the other hand, the ongoing feud between the Death Riders and the Conglomeration will also continue, as PAC is set to go one-on-one with Mark Briscoe this Wednesday. Furthermore, The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) will take on The Dogs (Clark Connors & David Finlay) in a tag team match.
Another match confirmed for the show will feature Orange Cassidy taking on Andrade El Idolo. The bout became official after Cassidy accepted a challenge issued by Rocky Romero.
