AEW Grand Slam Australia has some interesting matchups

AEW Grand Slam headed to Brisbane, Australia, airing live on February 15, 2025, from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Mariah May defends the AEW Women’s Championship against Toni Storm in a major title clash, while Mercedes Mone puts her TBS Championship on the line against Harley Cameron.

AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada faces Buddy Matthews, and Will Ospreay teams up with Kenny Omega to take on Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher. Plus, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli battle Adam Copeland and Jay White in a brutal Brisbane Brawl.

AEW President Tony Khan revealed that today’s Grand Slam: Australia pay-per-view had one of the highest gate totals in AEW history.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the event grossed more over $1.25 million, making it the third-largest gate in AEW history, after only the two All In events staged in London. However, this rating is subject to change, as early ticket sales for All In: Texas are allegedly higher and may outsell the Australia event.

The precise number of tickets sold is unclear. The Brisbane Entertainment Centre, with a capacity of roughly 9,500, is currently not sold out. The event’s ticket prices have been especially high, with a minimum price of $44 on the secondary market, but primary market tickets are believed to be substantially higher.

AEW Grand Slam and ROH Global Wars in Brisbane, Australia are being recorded in advance and will show later tonight at an undisclosed time (and Thursday for Ring of Honor). With that in mind, if you want to know what occurs ahead of time, we have SPOILERS from the tapings.
