Fans waiting for some closure have to wait a bit longer.
Benjamin Satterley, aka PAC (fka Neville in WWE), demise last week sent shockwaves through the pro wrestling world, with tributes pouring in from fans and colleagues. AEW’s weekly show Dynamite was dedicated to him, and even WWE paid tribute to the former Cruiserweight Champion on Raw.
However, the sudden news of his demise left fans puzzled as he wrestled hours before in what became his final match at Saturday Night’s AEW All Out.
He battled Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship and later appeared during the main event to aid his Death Rider’s stablemate Jon Moxley against Will Ospreay; this became his last televised appearance.
Per the last update, Satterley was found inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, at around 4:08 PM on Sunday. It was also noted that there were no apparent signs of trauma or foul play and that the death did not appear to be suspicious.
First responders were alerted to a person who appeared to be unconscious inside a car, though they were initially unable to confirm whether the 40-year-old was breathing.
A witness told the outlet that customers noticed the AEW star had passed out in the vehicle and called 911, with some searching the restaurant for medical equipment while waiting for paramedics to arrive.
The Cook County Medical Examiner told TMZ that the cause and manner of death remain pending additional testing. Now TMZ has provided additional details regarding his final moments, but the cause of his death is still unknown.
