AEW Dynamite this Wednesday will honor Rebel, who is battling ALS.
AEW Dynamite will air live this Wednesday, September 9, from Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia. The special episode, titled AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite, will be broadcast live on TBS and streamed on HBO Max at 8 p.m. ET.
The event will honor Tanea Brooks, better known to fans as Rebel, following her ALS diagnosis in March 2026. Rebel is also scheduled to make a special appearance during the event, and AEW will also make a donation from the show to I AM ALS, the leading community movement dedicated to ending ALS.
Regarding the matches announced, AEW World Champion Will Ospreay will defend the title against David Finlay, while the newly crowned AEW World Trios Champion Swerve Strickland, Kofi and Austin Creed will defend the title against The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong).
On the other hand, Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight will take on the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) in a Tables match. A trios match is also announced for the show where the team of Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Persephone, and Hikaru Shida battles Maya World, Hyan, and Thunder Rosa.
Furthermore, Darby Allin and Steven Borden will collide with The Don Callis Family (Mark Davis & Josh Alexander) in a tag team match. Additionally, Britt Baker and Rebel will host the Waiting Room with special guests Hikaru Shida and Persephone.
