The WWE Hall of Famer is currently signed to AEW!
In a recent interview with TMZ, WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW star Jeff Jarrett revealed that 14-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift once gave a private, three-hour concert for him and his family.
Jarrett is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he competes as a wrestler and also holds the position of Director of Business Development. Additionally, he is the founder of the re-established Acclaim Entertainment.
The AEW star has known Taylor Swift since her teenage years
During the conversation with TMZ Sports, Jarrett mentioned that he’s known Taylor “since she was a little girl,” and before his wife passed away from breast cancer, the 14-time Grammy winner gave a three-hour private concert for his family and friends.
Jeff revealed that at the time, Jeff’s first wife, who was battling breast cancer, was still alive and deeply appreciative of the experience.
The AEW Star recalled that it was around Christmas of 2006 when Swift, who had moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee at a young age, performed the private concert. He explained that his wife was “really ill” at the time and “passed away about five months after” the performance.
He shared that a friend of Swift’s recommended she visit his home after his wife was diagnosed. Swift initially arrived without her guitar, but “actually ran back home” to get it because his daughters “wanted her to sing and play.” What started as a small family gathering quickly turned into a party of around 45 people once Swift began playing, according to Jarrett. He described the day as “an amazing experience.”
“By the end of the afternoon, Taylor played for about three hours,” Jarrett recalled.
Taylor Swift has maintained contact with Jarrett’s family
Despite becoming one of the biggest stars in the music world and touring globally, selling out stadiums, Taylor Swift has continued to stay in touch with Jarrett’s family over the years. Even after nearly two decades, the AEW star’s family will always cherish that unforgettable private concert in their home.
“Obviously, like every little girl in America, my daughters were big Taylor fans, and her songs had just kind of broke, but she was a hometown girl… She kind of bonded with the family, specifically with the girls…
What a very cool relationship that developed. When my wife passed away, Taylor would come around, and was really good with the girls.”
Swift recently captured attention and sparked a frenzy online with her high-profile engagement announcement to Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce.
