Six Title matches on AEW WrestleDream’s big night this weekend.

AEW is prepared to give the world another big PPV as WrestleDream 2026 travels to Orlando, Florida, on Saturday, October 17. The yearly event in honor of the great Antonio Inoki, who was a Japanese wrestling legend, will see several championship matches, as well as a special AEW World Championship main event.

Ospreay will protect the AEW World Championship in the Clockwork Carnage match, consisting of eight men. Meanwhile, Mercedes Moné will be defending her AEW Women’s World Championship against Thekla. The Young Bucks, Jon Moxley, Andrade El Idolo, and the current champions of trios will also take part in the title fights.

The event will happen at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, and it will be the first time WrestleDream will be held in Florida. Several rivalries are at a crossroads now, which means that the event may have an impact on the fate of AEW in 2026.

AEW World Championship – Clockwork Carnage

Ospreay will defend the AEW World Championship in what is going to be the most outlandish title match in the lineup. Samoa Joe and Speedball Mike Bailey have ensured their participation in the match along with the champion, while Kazuchika Okada, Ricochet, Adam Copeland, Darby Allin and Konosuke Takeshita came through qualification on a go to episode of the PPV.

Two fighters will begin the match, with further competitors joining after every three minutes. Until the eighth fighter joins the fray, a pin or submission eliminates the contender. With the last participant entering the ring, the 15-minute scoring system starts with all falls counted for the outcome, and the one with maximum points gets the title.

AEW Women’s World Championship – Mercedes Moné vs. Thekla

The upcoming match will see Mercedes Moné facing off against a dangerous contender by the name of Thekla. This contender managed to gain this opportunity after winning against the previous champion, Willow Nightingale, at All Out. This is because there was interference in the match through the actions of Julia Hart and Skye Blue, which enabled Thekla to win.

It is evident that the skills and experience of Moné have made her an excellent champion, but Thekla is an aggressive contender who can use opportunities to beat her opponents.

AEW National Championship – Andrade El Idolo vs. Tommaso Ciampa

Andrade El Idolo is set to defend the AEW National Championship title from Tommaso Ciampa in a fight that is likely to be one of the toughest bouts of the night. Andrade is a fighter who has got the technical skills and explosive offense, while Ciampa is an intense fighter whose fighting style is marked by his toughness and risk-taking.

The recent feud between the two fighters has made their bout even more personal, and the result will matter a lot for both of them. While Andrade would like to establish that he is a tough champion, Ciampa will get an opportunity to add another top championship to his career portfolio.

AEW Continental Championship – Jon Moxley vs. Mark Davis

Jon Moxley faces Mark Davis in a championship match that promises a hard-hitting encounter. Davis earned the opportunity after helping his team defeat Moxley and Gabe Kidd on the October 6 episode of Dynamite. His victory gave him momentum heading into WrestleDream and put the champion on notice. Moxley is known for his relentless aggression and ability to withstand punishment, but Davis possesses the strength and physicality to challenge him.

The challenger will need to maintain pressure and avoid being drawn into Moxley’s preferred style of brawling. For Moxley, this is another test of his championship credentials against an opponent who has already demonstrated that he can beat members of his group.

AEW World Tag Team Championship – The Young Bucks vs. Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher

The team of Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson will be defending the AEW World Tag Team Championship against the representatives of the Don Callis Family, who are Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher. The Young Bucks have plenty of experience and great chemistry, but the opponents possess a mix of technical prowess from Fletcher and speed from Knight. It is likely that the challengers will try to utilize any weaknesses in order to stop the champions from creating their trademark fast-paced offence.

Winning for the Bucks will be important for cementing their place in the upper echelon of the AEW teams. For the challengers, winning will mean gaining momentum for the Don Callis Family.

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship – The Brawling Birds vs. Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander

Brawling Birds’ Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter will put their Women’s World Tag Team Championship on the line against Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander. The challengers bring a combination of strength and unpredictable moves to the table, which can prove problematic for the current champions. The offense of Hayter and the cooperation skills of Windsor will come in handy if they wish to keep their belts.

For their part, Cameron and Statlander will get a chance to showcase themselves as a formidable tag team after they have defeated the champions on the main pay-per-view show. They will have to stay in constant contact and not allow the Brawling Birds to separate them.

AEW World Trios Championship – Two-out-of-three falls

Swerve Strickland and The New Level, Austin Creed and Kofi, will defend the World Trios Championship against Hangman Page and Brodido, consisting of Bandido and Brody King. The two teams previously delivered a highly regarded encounter at All Out, and the champions have agreed to another showdown under two-out-of-three-falls rules.

The stipulation means a team must secure two falls to win, potentially rewarding stamina, strategy and the ability to adapt after losing the opening fall. Hangman and Brodido will look to turn their earlier performance into championship success, while the champions can use their experience to manage the longer contest. This could be one of the most physically demanding matches on the card.
