The promotion recently debuted in Australia with the Grand Slam 2025 event

While the WWE is the undisputed leader when it comes to pro wrestling, Jacksonville-based AEW is considered one of the largest pro wrestling companies, second only to the WWE.

Since its inception in 2019, the promotion has delivered some of many great shows that captivated fans. Multiple big names in the pro wrestling world either have competed or are currently signed with the promotion. The names include Cody Rhodes, Toni Storm, Jon Moxley, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, and many more.

Similar to the WWE, AEW also hosts multiple PPVs and events throughout the year. However, there are some events that transcend fans’ expectations and deliver thrilling matches. Here we will take a look at four such events that hold the record of being the biggest gate in the promotion’s history.

4. Forbidden Door 2023 (Toronto) – $1.2 million

The Forbidden Door PPV is a collaborative event, jointly presented by All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). The 2023 edition of Forbidden Door was the second annual Forbidden Door PPV which emanated on June 25, 2023, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The main event of the PPV featured a singles clash between Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada. Apart from the two stars, the event featured a total of thirteen matches. The event sits at number four on the list with around $1.2 million.

3. Grand Slam Australia 2025 – $1.3 Million

The Jacksonville-based promotion packed its bags for the land down under as the promotion debuted in Australia with the Grand Slam Australia event. The 2025 event was the fifth Grand Slam event which emanated on February 15, 2025, at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

“Timeless” Toni Storm battled Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship in the main event of the show. The show became the third-biggest gate in promotional history as drew a gate of around $1.3 Million.

2. All In 2024 – $6.5 million

The 2024 All In, also promoted as All In London at Wembley Stadium or simply All In London was the second edition of the PPV which emanated on August 25, 2024, at Wembley Stadium in London, England. A total of twelve matches were contested at the show.

Bryan Danielson battling Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship was the main event of the PPV. The show currently sits at the second spot in promotional history as drew a gate of around $6.5 Million.

1. All In 2023 – $10 million

The 2023 edition of All In was the first edition of the PPV which emanated on August 27, 2023, at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The event was the promotion’s debut in the United Kingdom, it was also the first AEW’s PPV event held outside of North America.

With a total gate of $10 Million, the event is the biggest gate in All Elite Wrestling’s history. Similar to the second edition the 2023 All In show featured the AEW World Championship match in the main event where MJF defeated Adam Cole to retain the title.
