Bobby Lashley could have his first match at AEW WrestleDream 2024!
Bobby Lashley is one of the most powerful and dominant professional wrestlers, with a giant muscle frame. Lashley has been in the pro wrestling industry since 2005 and is known for his time in WWE and beyond.
Lashley worked for WWE from 2005 to 2008 and from 2018 to the present and held a total of championships in WWE including two world championships.
In May 2024, WWE reported that Lashley suffered an injury during his training and got written off from the WWE TV. Lashley was nowhere seen then, however, in August 2024, it was reported that Lashley’s contract with WWE expired.
When Lashley fans wonder where he will be showing up next, it was reported that Lashley signed with AEW and his debut is impending. At this stage, it is reported that Bobby Lashley’s potential first feud in AEW was reportedly revealed on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
Bobby Lashley’s first feud in AEW
On the October 8, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite a video package of the former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland was played, who has been away from action since All Out 2024, after a brutal Unsanctioned Lights Out Steel Cage match against Adam Page. The video vignette played Strickland’s training for his in-ring return and announced that he will be in action at WrestleDream 2024. Interestingly, the video also revealed the previous discussion of MVP and Prince Nana on Dynamite.
As Swerve Strickland confirmed his in-ring return at WrestleDream 2024 and the reuniting of Hurt Syndicate is being teased, Strickland could be the potential first opponent of Bobby Lashley in AEW.
This is not the first time the rumor got circulated around the potential Lashley vs Strickland match. Earlier this year, at AEW All In, the potential rumor got teased. Upon AEW’s debut, MVP has been mentioning Swerve Strickland in his conversation on a number of occasions. Based on all the teases it seems like there are huge expectations for the potential match, however, nothing is officially confirmed yet.
Lashley is also reported to be training for his Boxing debut in the upcoming season. So we need to wait and watch, what the future holds for Lashley and the potential first match in AEW.
