Dijak recently left WWE after his contract expired!
Dijak is one of the hottest free agents in the pro wrestling industry. He is known for his time in WWE where he wrestled from 2017 to 2024, where had a major run in the NXT brand under the name Dominik Dijikovik & Dijak and a brief run in the main roster under the name T-Bar as a part of Retribution. After an unsuccessful run in the main roster returned to NXT, making a career-redefining run with the brand.
Following his impressive run got drafted to Raw, but didn’t make an appearance. However, he announced his WWE departure with a long message on his social media. At this stage, the report suggests that he has landed in another major promotion ahead of WWE’s departure.
Dijak in AEW
Ahead of AEW Forbidden Door, the 37-year-old hinted at his appearance for the event with a video saying that he will be taking a four-and-a-half-hour drive to New York saying,
“What a time! What a time to be alive. Feast your eyes because Donovan Dijak is back. Last night at Blitzkrieg Pro Wrestling in Enfield, Connecticut… Hang on a second, just gonna go through this door real quick. It’s a beautiful, sun-shiny New England day. The sun is out. The kids are playing.”
“Donovan Dijak is playing wherever he damn well pleases. I’m going to show up wherever I want, whenever I want and you can feast your eyes on that because that is exactly what the Dijak hijack is all about. You know what? Today is such a beautiful day, it’s early in the morning right now, why don’t we go for a nice little drive, huh? Maybe a four hour drive, four-and-a-half-hour drive. I think that’s exactly what today calls for.”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that he was caught backstage at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door.
Ross Sapp said, “Dijak is backstage. We’ve not been told if he would debut. Dijak in fact did not tell us either one of these.”
The 37-year-old later confirmed that was backstage at Forbidden Door posting a photo on X/Twitter, tagging Nick Khan and AEW.
There is no update on whether he has signed a contract with AEW or not, and when he will make his debut for the Jacksonville-based promotion.
