Has Ronda Rousey signed with AEW after shocking apperance at Revolution 2026?

Ronda Rousey confronted Toni Storm at the PPV.
Former WWE and UFC Champion Ronda Rousey sent shockwaves through the pro-wrestling fandom when she made a surprising appearance during AEW Revolution last week.
The 2026 edition of the PPV emanated from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Rousey stepped into the ring right after ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm defeated her close friend, Marina Shafir of the Death Riders, and called out the former AEW Women’s World Champion back to the ring.
Storm answered the call, and the duo almost came to blows before the officials intervened to stop them. Rousey walked off with Shafir, and the moment sparked speculations about Rousey’s involvement and if she has signed with AEW, on the heels of her MMA return.
Ronda Rousey has not signed with AEW
During the Revolution post-show media scrum, AEW President Tony Khan was questioned about Rousey’s appearance. Khan said the door is always open for her in AEW, even noting Rousey’s previous appearances in AEW’s sister promotion ROH.
Now, a report from Fightful Select has shed more light on the situation. According to the outlet, sources within AEW stated the former WWE and UFC Champion has not officially signed with the promotion yet.
Sources highlighted that Ronda’s appearance was influenced by her strong rapport with Tony Khan, the high ratings of her Ring of Honor match in November 2023, and the convenience of living near the venue.
The report also suggested that, although the crowd reacted as expected, Rousey appeared to anticipate a different type of response from fans.
Dave Meltzer, in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, also confirmed that the appearance was intended as a one-off appearance for the former WWE and UFC Champion.
Ronda Rousey will make her MMA return in May
Rousey is currently gearing up for her MMA return against fellow MMA legend Gina Carano. This will be her first fight in nearly a decade, with her last outing being a loss against Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 on December 30, 2016.
The fight will headline Netflix’s first MMA event produced by MVP (Most Valuable Promotions) on May 16, 2026, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
The undercard for the Rousey vs Carano fight boasts top MMA stars, including Francis Ngannou, Nate Diaz, and Mike Perry, among others.
