The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods’ legendary WWE careers came to an abrupt and controversial end in May when the duo rejected a restructured deal from TKO that would have reduced their pay by 50%, as per reports.
Since their exit, rumors of the duo joining AEW have been rampant. The rumors picked up steam when it was announced that Woods and Kingston are scheduled to appear on Chris Jericho’s upcoming Rock ‘N Wrestling Rager at Sea, which is scheduled for November.
On their move to AEW, a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has confirmed that Kofi and Woods are headed to AEW. Now, a new report from the Observer has revealed AEW’s plans for the duo.
Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston might debut at AEW All In
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have been widely expected to make the move to AEW ever since they turned down the offered pay cut.
Meltzer also noted that AEW executive vice presidents The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) have been interested in working with the legendary tag team for several years.
Meltzer also discussed the segment involving Swerve Strickland, The Demand, The Lethal Swirl, and World Trios Champions “Hangman” Adam Page and Brodido on this week’s AEW Dynamite.
He pointed out that The Lethal Swirl failed to overshadow Page and Brodido during their appearance on Collision, leading to speculation that a three-way match for the Trios Championship could take place at All In: London. Additionally, Kingston and Woods are expected to team with Strickland in the match.
The 2026 edition of All In will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Wembley Stadium in London, England, during the United Kingdom’s August Bank Holiday weekend.
The event will go head-to-head with WWE NXT Heatwave, which emanates on August 30, 2026, at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, from 3 PM ET/ 12 PM PT. Notably, All In will begin at 11:30 AM ET.
