The couple appeared together in a heartfelt snapshot on Instagram!
AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone, also known among WWE fans as Sasha Banks, sparked a buzz online when she was seen with fellow AEW stars, The Beast Mortos, who shared a photo of them on his Instagram story.
Mortos covered his face with a bull emoji in the photo with Moné, who was smiling. The caption read ‘En tus brazos encuentro paz,’ which translates to ‘In your arms, I find peace.’ Shortly, TMZ confirmed that the two were dating.
Mone herself seemingly confirmed the news via her X (Twitter) handle, posting “I can’t wait to sue all of you!” alongside a “rawr,”. It appeared to reference Mortos’ own post on X from Monday, where he shared that he was one step closer to becoming a lawyer after passing his law exams.
According to TMZ, Mortos is a man of many talents, having previously worked as a veterinarian and a nurse before pursuing a law degree, all while building his wrestling career in AEW. Mone and her husband, retired professional wrestler and WWE costume designer Sarath Ton, divorced in July 2024.
Who is Mercedes Mone’s boyfriend Beast Mortos?
The Beast Mortos is a masked professional wrestler who is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Mortos is a member of La Faccion Ingobernable in the promotion and also works in their sister company, Ring of Honor (ROH).
The masked luchador kicked off his pro wrestling career in 2008 with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, under the ring name Semental. Since then, he has worked in multiple promotions including Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), Impact Wrestling (TNA), Major League Wrestling (MLW), and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), among others.
Mortos made his ROH debut in December 2023. He later reportedly signed with AEW in January 2024 but was unable to use his old ring name or character, ‘Black Taurus’, as AAA owned the gimmick. He made his return to ROH for the first time since reports of his signing, now wearing a new mask and competing under the ring name ‘The Beast Mortos,’ where he defeated Blake Christian.
Mortos most recently competed on the June 11 episode of AEW Collision, where he suffered defeat at the hands of Bandido. As mentioned above, Mortos is also attending law school and passed his bar exam in June 2025.
