The 2025 edition of Forbidden Door is, as usual, co-produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), and will emanate in August for the first time and will be the first to take place outside North America.

The show will air live from at The O2 Arena in London, England and will feature top names from the Jacksonville-based promotion. The show will go head-to-head with WWE NXT Heatwave, which is set to emanate from the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts.

AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) are scheduled to defend the titles against the team of Brodido (Brody King and Bandido) and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) in a three-way tag team elimination match.

After winning the Casino Gauntlet match at All In: Texas 2025, Athena signed the contract to challenge the current AEW Women’s World champion, Toni Storm, at the upcoming PPV. Athena is banking on Storm’s bad luck in London, which includes losing the title at All In: London in 2024.

AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone is also set for a title defense in a four-way match. She will face one representative each from AEW, CMLL, and Stardom, namely Alex Windsor, Persephone, and Bozilla.

Additionally, AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page will contest his title in a singles match against MJF.
