Here is the question that the fan asked in SBS 112: “What was Gaban’s Role in the Roger Pirates?”

Eiichiro Oda answered him by providing everyone’s role in the crew:

• Captain: Gol D. Roger
• First Mate: Silvers Rayleigh
• Navigator: Scopper Gaban
• Tactical Officer: Moon Issac Jr.
• Doctor: Crocus
• Helmsman: Donquino
• Interrogator: Millet Pine
• Scholar: Rowing
• Informant: Erio
• Intelligence Officer: Spencer
• Gunner: Petermoo
• Musician: Jacksonbanner
• Shipwright: Blue Marine

Oda specifically said that these were the main members of the Roger Pirates. This also confirms that Oden was not the main member and the same goes for Shanks and Buggy, who were still pirates in the training.

What is SBS?

One Piece SBS stands for “Shitsumon o Boshū Suru”, which translates to “I am taking Questions.”

It is a question-and-answer segment, which is featured in the manga volume, where Eiichiro Oda answers the fan-submitted questions.

Oda prefers to be coy; therefore, the replies to his questions are usually jokes.
