Kuro Games has now officially announced the brand-new project, the Wuthering Waves anime ‘Elysium’, based on their popular action RPG gacha game.
This was announced during the live concert held in China on July 18, 2026, where the first teaser trailer was also revealed to the fans. Let’s check out more details in this article.
A new adventure with Wuthering Waves anime
The minute-long teaser for the anime Wuthering Waves: Elysium suggests that it will feature 3D animation instead of traditional 2D animation.
It is also produced by Kuro Onroad, an animation brand under Kuro Games. The trailer takes viewers on a tour of an intriguing new world with Cartethyia and an unexpected guest.
With its Renaissance Italian architecture, Kuro Games hasn’t confirmed the locale, but fans speculate it’s one of the independent city-states of Rinascita.

In the trailers, we can notice many well-known WuWa characters. They might also get dedicated episodes for them. The revealed characters in the trailer:

For now, Kuro Games has yet to reveal the storyline or full cast for the anime. Also, this project is developed by the in-house studio. Meanwhile, the upcoming Genshin Impact anime is developed externally by Ubisoft.
