India's U-21 mixed Compound team of Avneet Kaur and Priyansh clinched gold medal by defeating Israel (146-144) in the final of World Archery Youth Championships 2023. Israel fought back to level things back in the third (38-39) with an even scoreline ahead of the final round (111-111). In the final series, India had a poor start (scoring 6 and 7 respectively) which the Israel archers could have taken advantage of but in the end one of them scored six points taking their deficit down and ultimately lost the match by two points.
