The married couple will both go for gold on the final day of the Archery World Cup 2021 in Guatemala City.

The Indian contingent have the opportunity to claim four medals on Sunday, with the women's recurve team already assured of at least a silver. The trio of Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat and Komalika Bari have been commanding in the Archery World Cup so far, after a 6-0 triumph over hosts Guatemala in the quarter-finals was followed by an identical scoreline victory over Spain in the semis.

In the final, they will face a Mexican side boasting the likes of London 2012 women's individual recurve silver medallist Aida Roman, Ana Vazquez and Alejandra Valencia. The Mexicans beat Colombia 5-1 in the quarters and Germany 6-2 in the semis en route to the final.

Incidentally, Valencia will also be the opponent of Deepika Kumari in the women's individual recurve semi-finals. Kumari started her campaign with a 6-0 win over American Kelsey Lard. A closely fought 6-5 victory over Aida Roman of Mexico followed. She then ousted Germany's Michelle Kroppen 6-0 to set up a semifinal date with another Mexican Valencia.

Atanu Das will be in action in the men's individual recurve semi-finals. Interestingly, Das has won all his matches by a margin of 6-4 so far. He got past Oscar Ticas of El Salvador in the first match, compatriot Pravin Jadhav in the Round of 16 and Canada's Eric Peters in the quarters. Das will now lock horns with Mexican, Angel Alvarado in the last four.

India will also have a shot for a podium finish in the mixed team recurve event, in which Atanu Das and Ankita Bhakat are set for a bronze medal playoff match against the USA. They beat Spain 6-0 in the quarters before going down to Mexico 5-4 in the semis.
