Archery World Cup 2025 Auburndale: Full schedule, fixtures, results, live streaming details

World champion Pravin Ojas Deotale is back in the Indian squad.

The archery season will begin the Stage 1 of the Archery World Cup 2025 which will take place in Central Florida, USA. The competition is scheduled to start on April 8 and end on April 13. The archers will look to start their season on a high and will aim to accumulate the ranking points for the Archery World Cup Finals, scheduled to be held in October in China.

The Indian contingent has faced visa troubles due to some issues in the system. Hence only 13 members out of 22 members contingent (including the coaches) have reached USA for the competition. The remaining nine are still waiting for their Visa clearance.

The archery powerhouse South Korea haven’t sent a squad so it will be a great opportunity for Indians to reach deeper into the event and get important ranking points for the race to finals. Moreover, the winner of each individual event gets an automatic qualification for the Archery World Cup Finals.

This year as usual there will be four world cups compared to three last year. Hence, players will get more chances to qualify for the finals. In the end, the four-stage winners along with the top four players in the rankings will qualify.

Two-time World Championships medalist Marcus D’Almeida of Brazil will be one of the favourites to win the title in the recurve category. Alongside him, we have Tokyo Olympics champion Mete Gazoz, two-time Olympic medalist Brady Ellison and Tokyo silver medalist Mauro Nespoli who will also be among the favourites to win the title. Some other big names Matias Grande of Mexico and Thomas Chirault of France will be the archers to watch out for.

In women’s recurve, the Pairs Olympics bronze medalist Lisa Barbelin of France and World Championships silver medalist Alejandra Valencia will be the ones to watch out for. Some other big names Casey Kaufhold and Li Jiaman will also be looking for promising shows at the Archery World Cup 2025.

In the compound category, we have 2023 World Cup final winner Mathias Fullerton, Mr. Perfect and 2013 World Champion Mike Schloesser and Sawyer Sullivan who are the athletes to watch out for. In the women’s category, the archers to watch out are Andrea Becerra, Tanja Gellenthien and Ella Gibson.
