Pro Panja League Season 2 comes to Gwalior; The Great Khali, Vijender Singh to headline star-studded opening ceremony

Pro Panja League is the only league to give everyone (male, female, and para-athletes) the same platform.
The much-anticipated Season 2 of the Pro Panja League is about to begin. Gwalior will take great pride in hosting the arm wrestling league. The Pro Panja League will take place in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Training Centre for Disability Sports, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, from August 5 to 21.
The co-owner of the league, actor/director Pravinn Dabbas, remarked, “This is a big thing for Gwalior and a matter of great pride for all of us.” He then recalled how the journey began in 2022 with a huge ceremony at the Gwalior Fort.
After successfully hosting Season 1 in New Delhi, Gwalior will host Season 2, which will be telecast on Sony Sports Network, DD Sports, and Fan Code.
He then explained the format to the public. The matches will be held in 10 categories (six men, three women, and one para athlete). Each team will have 30 athletes (3-3 in each weight category). Athletes of the same weight category will play with each other.
Olympic medalist and boxer Vijender Singh (brand ambassador of Rohtak Roadies), Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, and WWE wrestler Khali (brand ambassador for Ludhiana Lions) will be present at the opening ceremony, making it a blockbuster affair.
Pravinn further expressed his sincere gratitude to the chairman of the organising committee, Prabhal Pratap Singh Tomar, whose tremendous help made the event possible. He quoted
“Tomar ji and I have brought such a significant event to Gwalior.”
Gwalior holds a special place in the heart of Preeti Jhangiani, president of the People’s Arm Wrestling Federation of India and co-founder of the Pro Panja League:
“I think Pro Panja League Season 2 is worthwhile because this is where our adventure began. Our social media accounts went viral following our 2022 event at the Fort; as of now, we have 1.2 billion views on all platforms.
She extended an invitation to the whole city to join the league:
“Don’t just sit there and watch the matches; come enjoy them. This is also your league.”
Trinath Reddy, CEO of Telugu Titans (Pro Kabaddi) and Kiraag Hyderabad, also expressed his excitement by saying:
“I had no idea what Pro Panja was at first. However, I’m hooked now that I’ve travelled with the squad and felt the spirit. We only lost by one point in the final last year. We’re sure we’ll win the trophy this year!
The intensity was matched by Rohtak Roadies’ owner, Abhishek Malik, who had a small banter with Trinath:
In our hearts and minds, we have already prevailed. He further hinted that there will be a massive explosion tomorrow involving Khali, Vijender, and Rajpal Yadav.
The Madhya Pradesh squad will play in the league for the first time. Tomar Ji stated, “We want every Gwalior resident to take pride in it and take part because it’s a matter of great joy for all of us.”
As the league expands in size, power, and diversity, six teams, Mumbai Muscle, Jaipur Veers, Kiraak Hyderabad, Sher-e-Ludhiana, Rohtak Rowdies, and MP Hathodas will compete for the coveted championship.
