Maybe he would rather join Liverpool than Bayern Munich- RB Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff on Timo Werner

The German forward is on the radar of several top clubs including Bayern, PSG, Dortmund and Liverpool.
With the summer transfer window around the corner, clubs have already begun with their business in order to bolster their squads for the next season. Longtime Liverpool target Timo Werner could finally be on his way to Anfield as he nears an exit from his current club, RB Leipzig.
Werner, 23, has been an exceptional player for the Bundesliga side having scored 62 goals in his 115 appearances in all competitions since 2016. The talismanic forward scored a total of 19 goals this season and helped Leipzig finish at a commendable third position in the league, with a game still to go.
It is believed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been an admirer of the German forward since the past couple of seasons and would be looking to bring him to Merseyside.
Meanwhile, at Liverpool, Roberto Firmino has struggled with injuries this season and veteran Daniel Sturridge is out of contract, meaning he is most likely to be on his way out.
That leaves youngster Rhian Brewster and Divock Origi to be a couple of options in the attack, also taking into consideration that Klopp doesn’t have plans to include Harry Wilson, who is out on loan at Derby County, for next season.

Moreover, Werner could be the best possible replacement for Sturridge and would be a good competition for the rest of the attackers. Furthermore, Leipzig chief Oliver Mintzlaff provided huge boost to Liverpool hinting that Werner might prefer moving to England rather than stay in Germany and join Bayern Munich, who too are keen for his signature.

Werner’s fate is yet to be decided, although it is most certain that wouldn’t extend his stay with Leipzig.
