Matteo Guendouzi didn't lose control– Unai Emery
The Frenchman was sent off for a foul on Paudie O'Connor in Arsenal's Carabao Cup meeting with Blackpool on Wednesday night.
The recent red card given to youngster Matteo Guendouzi during Arsenal's recent 2-1 Carabao Cup victory over Blackpool doesn't seem to be a sense of concern for manager Unai Emery.
The Premier League club qualified for the quarter-finals and will meet Tottenham in the upcoming round. The Frenchman created the opener for his side, which was converted by Swiss Stephen Lichsteiner. After the interval, 18-year-old Emile Smith Rowe scored the second goal for his side.
Guendouzi received a red card in the second half (56th-minute) for a second booking, for fouling on Jordan Thompson. O'Connor scored Blackpool's solitary goal. The sending off means that Guendouzi will miss his side's upcoming clash against Liverpool, which is not something to worry about according to Emery.

The gaffer said, "That is football. Things can be positive or negative like an injury, a red card, 90 minutes of hard work that don't allow you to play other matches. A red card is like that. We have a lot of players looking to play, to help us and take responsibility. His quality for the team, I am going to prepare with other players for the big match. He's playing well. He's playing with a spirit – [he's] competitive. The action is... it's an action, he plays that action as a normal moment in the game."

Czech goalkeeper Petr Cech made his return after a month-long injury, but had a torrid time against Blackpool in a very close encounter. Supporting Cech, Emery quipped, "When you play with the goalkeeper like this it is normal, with the centre-backs to play the ball under pressure back, and I want to give them confidence. It's true, after this mistake the supporters also see it, as the ball is played to him to continue to give him and others confidence playing our style, our idea of the game. He has experience. He can do good. We will continue with our ideas."
