I've adapted quickly to the team- Fabinho

The midfielder is on a stellar run of form, starting five out of the last six home games for Liverpool.

Liverpool's newly acquired Brazilian midfielder Fabinho credits his coach and his team's playing style for the emergence of him as a force to reckon on. Fabinho also concurred with the recently sacked Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, that the difference in quality between United's and Liverpool's squad was too vast for the Red Devils to have any chance of overcoming the team from Merseyside in the recent beating.

Fabinho, who initially faced hiccups in finding playing time, has now started five of the last six games played at Anfield. And the midfielder has no one else but his manager to credit for his recent uprise.

“One thing I always talk about with this team and this championship is the intensity,” said Fabinho.

“The intensity is different from what I am used to (but) I’ve got into the rhythm of the team and got used to the style of play. The role that the manager asks of me is what I’m used to, so there were no problems in adapting in that respect," he said.

“Obviously in the first games I didn’t have that automatic understanding with the rest of the team, so I had to work a bit harder to understand other players’ runs, but I can do this faster now. I’ve adapted quickly to the team, and I’m playing more now – at the beginning, I had to be patient – and that’s been good for me and has helped a great deal in settling in," said the tall midfielder.

“Nothing has surprised me. When I came here, I already had an idea about how the Premier League would be, but the difference is the physically intense nature, the difficulty of every single game, whether you’re playing against a team who are at the top or the bottom. It’s always a big challenge,” he added.

After largely crediting the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp for his improvement, the midfielder also highlighted the fact that he is not thrown onto him lengthy conversations and rather gets identified with the ways he could improve by the coaching staff.

“We don’t talk a lot, but whenever we’re doing tactical training he stops to talk,” Fabinho told liverpoolfc.com.

“Sometimes he’ll speak to me individually and he’ll tell me how he wants me to play in terms of positioning, whether it be zonally or whether he wants me to mark a man or play at the back of the midfield," said the Brazilian while talking about the gaffer.

Liverpool are unbeaten in the league while Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City are the only teams they drew with. They face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the next game week to mark it the half-way point for this season.
