FPL Guru: How your team should look like in Gameweek 18
The Chelsea duo of Alonso and Hazard have been the gems to keep in your Fantasy Premier League team.
Liverpool put the final nail in the coffin for Jose Mourinho as a Xherdan Shaqiri brace in the second half saw the Reds beat the Red Devils comfortably to regain the top spot. Manchester City overcame a tricky Everton test while Chelsea Got all three points against a stubborn Brighton side. Tottenham managed to get the better of Burnley thanks to Eriksen’s injury-time winner. Southampton, however, pulled off the surprise off the week by ending Arsenal’s unbeaten run, with a brace from Ings and a goal from Austin giving them a hard-fought 3-2 victory.
Gameweek 17 Review
Gameweek 17 had several players underperforming but a few players managed to raise the whole team’s stock. Aubameyang, Mitrovic, Fraser, Richarlison, and Alisson had only 2 points each while Marcos Alonso and James Maddison had only 1 point each. However, captain Eden Hazard recorded 26 points due to his goal and assist against Brighton. Robert Snodgrass also impressed with 11 points while both Aaron-Wan Bissaka and Matt Doherty got 6 points each as both their teams got clean sheets.
The team finished with a total of 61 points.
Gameweek 18 Transfers
West Ham United’s compelling defensive form makes a case for adding Lukasz Fabianski into the team instead of Matthew Ryan. Other possible replacements for Ryan include Jordan Pickford and Rui Patricio. However, due to his kinder fixture list, Ryan stays.
Playing in a Fulham side that is facing a goal drought, Aleksandar Mitrovic can also be let go. Possible options include Raul Jimenez and Glenn Murray. Southampton’s revival makes Danny Ings a potential candidate also. No transfers are done during this gameweek.
