FPL Guru: How your team should look like in Gameweek 25
Marcus Rashford and Sergio Aguero have good opportunities to score goals in the upcoming set of fixtures.
What a week it was! Gameweek 24 turned out to be a week of surprises. Manchester United clawed back from a two-goal deficit at home to share the spoils with Burnley while Arsenal were made to work hard for three points by a resilient Cardiff. Bournemouth ended up with the result of the week, demolishing Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea 4-0.
Rafael Benitez pulled off a tactical masterclass to give Newcastle United three points against Manchester City, while Liverpool failed to capitalise on the slip-up of their closest rivals, drawing against Leicester. Tottenham fought hard after going down against Watford, winning 2-1 to pull closer to City and Liverpool.
Gameweek 24 Review
Gameweek 24 was unpredictable and the team displayed the aftermath with a very poor showing. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang led the pack with 12 points while Richarlison provided ample support with eight points. Matt Doherty’s clean sheet gave him six points for the week. Manchester United players Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford got four points each. Eden Hazard, Andrew Robertson, Toby Alderweireld and Alisson becker got two points each while Alex Iwobi and Aaron-Wan Bissaka got one point each. The team finished just above average.
Gameweek 25 Transfers
With a double match gameweek coming for Manchester City and Everton, wildcard was used. Sergio Aguero came in for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while Joshua King replaced the injured Callum Wilson in attack. David Brooks comes in for Alex Iwobi while Eden Hazard’s lack of form prompts a replacement with Heung-min Son coming in. Sadio Mane is moved in for Jesse Lingard while Ricardo Pereira comes in for Toby Alderweireld.
Considering the fixtures ahead, Leroy Sane and Gylfi Sigurdsson can also be brought in.
Gameweek 25 Line-up
Alisson keeps his place in goal, with Alonso in the backline

Marcos Alonso, Aaron-Wan Bissaka and Andrew Robertson start in defense with Ricardo Pereira and Matt Doherty moving to the bench. The former has a match against Manchester United while the latter face Everton away from home. In midfield, David Brooks moves to the bench. Club-mate Ryan Fraser, Richarlison, Heung-Min Son and Sadio Mane start in midfield. Marcus Rashford, Sergio Aguero and Joshua King start in attack. Due to their double fixtures this week, Sergio Aguero and Richarlison have been made captain and vice-captain respectively.
Tottenham take on Newcastle in Wembley while Leicester welcome Manchester United to the King Power Stadium. Chelsea will aim to recoup and recover at home against Huddersfield while a fierce West Ham side awaits Liverpool. Manchester City play twice this week, first in a crucial fixture against Arsenal followed by Everton.
