Clubs with the most players at the FIFA World Cup 2018
From winning the title to sending the highest number of players to the World Cup its been remarkable season for Manchester City.
With the club season over, the footballing community is gearing up for the quadrennial international footballing competition that will be held in Russia this year. Players from clubs all over the world have packed their bags for Moscow and will be looking to give their best in their national colours after meriting call-ups on the back of successful club campaigns.
There have been some surprise exclusions in the final squads announced by the head coaches of the national teams, with Premier League stars like Jack Wilshire, Anthony Martial and Leroy Sane not making the final cut. We at Khel Now take a look at the top 10 clubs with the most players who will be taking part in the World cup finals in Russia.
Al Hilal SC
The Saudi Arabian side have nine players going to the World Cup and are the only Non-European side to make it into the top 10.

Juventus
The Italian champions will have 11 of their players going to Russia, with stars like Paulo Dybala widely touted to be one of the bright lights of the tournament. Juan Cuadrado and Mehdi Benatia will play crucial roles for their respective countries while Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi are expected to go far in the tournament.

Bayern Munich
The German giants have 11 players making it to the World Cup finals. The Munich club won the Bundesliga after yet another dominant season. While their main man, Arjen Robben will not be going to Russia, following Holland’s failure to qualify, the squads of Poland, Germany, Austria and Spain will be counting on Bayern’s stars to take them far in the tournament.

Manchester United
Manchester United have faced a rough season, finishing a very poor second behind league winners, Manchester City. This did not stop 11 of their players from being called up to the national teams of their respective countries. Star player David de Gea will take his place in goal for Spain and Paul Pogba will hope to play a crucial role in anything that the French do at Russia.

Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur are represented by five players in the English national side, the most by a single club. Tottenham can boast of having the captains of two major footballing countries in their ranks, in France’s Hugo Lloris and England’s Harry Kane. The club from North London have representatives in no less than seven nations taking part in the World Cup.

Paris Saint Germain
The wealthy Parisians have a lot of their squad being left out of the World Cup due to injury, but still take fifth place on this list with no less that 12 players going to the World Cup. Big Money signing, Neymar will hope to do what he failed to in 2014 by leading Brazil to the title. Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe will also look to show what they are made off in Russia this summer.

Despite the fact that a major portion of a largely underperforming Chelsea side have been left out of their national squads, the Blues still have 13 players who will be plying their trade in Russia this summer. Gary Cahill and Ruben Loftus-Cheek form the Blues’ contingent in the English side. Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and loaned star Michy Batshuayi will star for Belgium while Olivier Giroud and N'Golo Kante are sure to star for the French.

Their mercurial star, Lionel Messi will be looking to defy the odds and repeat his feat of 2014, by taking Argentina to the World Cup final. Fellow South Americans Luis Suarez and Philipe Coutiniho will also star for their respective countries.

Barcelona’s fiercest rivals, Real Madrid take second place on our list, with 15 players going to Russia. Their talisman, Cristiano Ronaldo will lead a Portugal squad that has been vastly revamped after their Euro 2016 victory. Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro will be crucial in midfield for their countries and Keylor Navas will take up his position between the sticks for Costa Rica.

Manchester City
The runaway winners of the Premier League take top spot on our list with 16 players going to the World Cup. PFA Young Player of the Year, Leroy Sane was left out of the German squad while his teammate Ilkay Gundogan has ben picked by Low. Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus and David Silva are indispensable members of their respective squads.
