Gokulam Kerala bolster their squad by signing Ghanain-Vietnamese forward Le Van Tan
The southerners have brought in another overseas recruit as their season gains momentum.
The I-League newcomers Gokulam Kerala have roped in Vietnamese-Ghanaian forward Le Van Tan. Van Tan will follow in the footsteps of Henry Kisseka who recently joined the side and was brilliant on his debut against Mohun Bagan.
Similarly, Gokulam want to end their first campaign in the top flight on a high after pulling off a major upset against Bagan, where they won 2-1 at home. The South Indian side may be new to the I-League but they have shown glimpses of grit and character to pull off positive results.
Now, with the arrival of their new recruit, Kerala will be more positive in their approach in the last few matches. Van Tan is a prolific goalscorer and his physicality will make him an imposing figure on Gokulam's attack. So coach Bino George has added variety in attack, and with the likes of Henry and Al Ajmi in the mix, Van Tan will definitely add more firepower to Gokulam's squad.
Van Tan started his career in Ghana for Liberty Professional and then he moved to Vietnam and has played for various V-League 1 teams. The 33-year old has a good eye for goals and his stint for FLC Thanh Hoa was very impressive in the Vietnamese top flight. He also has a solitary appearance for Ghana national team long back in 2003.

With the win against Bagan, Kerala are full of confidence and are hoping to finish their debut campaign on a high. So with their new recruit Van Tan, hopefully they can replicate the same form in their next match against East Bengal.
