The following is a brief discussion on how the Indian players performed:
FC Goa
Mohammed Nawaz- 6.5
Mohammad Nawaz pulled off a phenomenal save form an Alfaro penalty to deny Pune any chance back into the game. He was also decisive on the ball and relieved the pressure on the Goan backline when needed. The young goalkeeper, however, could have done better to stop Alfaro’s goal.
Seriton Fernandes- 6.0
The full-back exerted his influence on both sides of the pitch. His through ball was the catalyst for the third Goa goal. Defensively, he was constantly on alert to deny space to Robin Singh.
Chinglensana Singh- 5.0
A very forgettable outing for the centre-back. The Gaurs' defender was shaky at the back. He gave away the ball for Pune’s second goal. He was also robbed of possession in the second half and fouled the player giving away a needless penalty.
Mandar Rao Desai- 5.5
The local lad was constantly creating problems for Pune with his overlaps and directness. Defensively though, he left space behind due to his runs forward and failed to track back consistently. Got a yellow card for a needless foul towards the end of the first half.
Lenny Rodrigues- 6.0
The defensive midfielder was an omnipresent figure for Goa, putting in effort on both the defensive and offensive ends for the Gaurs. However, he was slow to react on several occasions, especially for Pune’s opening goal, when he failed to track Marcelinho.
Jackichand Singh- 7.5
The former Pune City winger was very efficient. He was constantly making runs and putting in work defensively as well. His hard work was rewarded when he scored Goa’s third goal after a lung-bursting run to get ahead of his defender.
Substitutes
Brandon Fernandes- N/A
The local favourite’s return from injury failed to build into anything spectacular Brandon failed to do anything of note during his short stint.

FC Pune City
Vishal Kaith- 5.5
Produced decent saves to deny the Goans from adding to their tally. However, the Pune shot-stopper could have done better to prevent Goa’s opener.
Gurtej Singh- 4.5
The defender was exposed on several occasions and his lack of pace and alertness was exploited by the Goan attack. He failed to deal with the menacing runs of Corominas and Boumous and was outmatched for the majority of the game. A very disappointing outing.
Ashutosh Mehta- 5.0
Defensively caught wanting on several occasions. He was left exposed by the marauding runs of Jackichand and the incessant overlaps of Mandar Rao. Ashutosh was at fault for Goa’s third goal, when he failed to keep the line with the other defenders. Made a very good goal-line clearance during the second half to deny Corominas his hat-trick.
Ashique Kuruniyan- 5.5
Ashique was invisible for major parts of the game. He failed to exert his influence and failed to exploit the gaps left by Mandar Rao’s constant overlaps. Was substituted for Nikhil Poojary in the second half.
Robin Singh- 6.5
Robin Singh put in a solid performance. The striker constantly threatened the Gaurs' defence, especially keeping right-back Seriton on his toes. He provided the assist for his side’s first goal. Substituted during the second half.
Lalchhuanmawia Fanai- 5.5
He supported Robin Singh with his overlaps, but failed to produce anything of note. Was also uninspiring in defence and failed to impose his presence
Substitutes
Adil Khan- N/A
Came off the bench during the second half, but failed to dictate play.
