Jamshedpur seals deal with Subhasish Roy Chowdhary
The custodian is a graduate of Tata Football Academy.
Jamshedpur FC announced the signing of Indian goalkeeper Subhasish Roy Chowdhury on a one-year deal. Born in Kolkata, Subhasish has a pedigree of representing top-tier clubs in Indian football.
The ex-Tata Football Academy cadet has represented clubs such as East Bengal, Mahindra United, Dempo in the I-League. He also represented ATK, FC Goa, Delhi Dynamos and Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League. His last season with Kerala Blasters saw him play seven matches.
The move comes as a positive action by the Jamshedpur-based franchise. The Men of Steel's stalwart Subrata Paul had stumbled quite a few times in this season and club certainly missed a quality backup option. Subrata is suspended for two games following the red card in their previous encounter against FC Goa in Super Cup quarter-final.

There were some great memories made during my time with TFA. I am overwhelmed and honoured to be given the opportunity to play for Jamshedpur FC and I look forward to a successful season. I will definitely give my 100% for the team.”
Jamshedpur FC, CEO, Mukul Choudhari added, “We are elated that Subhashish has signed for us. Being an ex-TFA cadet, it gives me immense joy that he is coming back to Jamshedpur. We have great faith in him and he provides a fantastic option in our goalkeeping front. We welcome him to Jamshedpur FC.”
