Aizawl FC kicked off round 6 of the Mizoram Premier League season 6 with a convincing 3-0 victory against former champions Dinthar FC.

The I-League champions had only registered their first win of MPL6 in the last round after a stuttering start that saw them draw three games in a row.

They looked hungry right from the start as they looked more lively in attack and assured in possession.

Alfred Jaryan and Rinzuala tested the goalkeeper early on while Rochharzela, who scored a hattrick in their last match, and Jonathon Lalrawngbawla proved a thorn in Dinthar FC's backline.

Aizawl FC's efforts bore fruit in the 38th minute when Kareem Omlaja headed in from Rochharzela's corner. The goal was quickly followed by another after a brilliant deliver from S. Malsawmtluanga found Jonathan Lalrawngbawla and the young striker finished with aplomb.

Dinthar FC did come close to pulling one back in the second half but forward Jackson could not find the target while substitutes Nunmawia leh Chhuanmawia found it hard to turn the tide.

And it was Aizawl FC who found the net again in the 88th minute when substitute H. Lalmuankima scored to secure all three points.

Aizawl FC's K. Lalthathanga was named the man of the match.

Mizoram Police FC took home their first points of the season with a 2-1 victory over Chanmari West FC in round 6 of the Mizoram Premier League. Striker F. Lalrinpuia scored the winner in the dying minutes of the match.

After earning a solitary point from five outings, Mizoram Police FC decided to shake things up and appoint Lalbiaksanga Colney as their new head coach. The new coached, fondly known as BS-a Colney, was the man who took Bethlehem Vengthlang FC to the final of MPL 5 last year.

An entertaining affair from both sides saw Chanmari West FC threaten first through Vanlalalthlamuana and Vanlalnghenga.

But it was Mizoram Police FC who took the lead on the 23rd minute when Lalfakzuala headed in a fine delivery from Vanlaldika.

The lead, however, did not last long as the West Warriors struck back the very next minute with a fine finish from Jacob Lalrawngbawla.

They almost took the lead before halftime when Jacob struck the post while Lalmawizuala missed a good opportunity.

The second half saw another back and forth action  without clear cut chances as both sides struggled to really impose themselves in their opponent's final third.

And just when it seemed both teams will share a point F. Lalrinpuia popped up for Mizoram Police FC, and after some brilliant work from Lalfakzuala and Zosangliana, scored the all important winning goal.
