We are going out there to win the game- Pep Guardiola
The Spaniard insists his players are motivated enough to win their final game of the season.
The stage is all set for the biggest day of the season as the Premier League is coming to a closure. A wave of excitement is ringing in the air as the race for the title has arrived its final phase where the final game will decide the fate of the Manchester City and Liverpool.
City, who travel to Brighton and Hove Albion, are required to win at any cost as Liverpool, who take on Wolves at Anfield, are just one point behind them. Any slip-up for either of the sides will be detrimental for their stance in the race.
Ahead of the game on Sunday, Pep Guardiola has asserted that there is no nervosity in the dressing room whatsoever. City faced a bigger threat last week when they hosted Leicester City and had to rely on a late thumping winner by captain Vincent Kompany.
Going to Brighton, who stand as low as seventeenth in the table, thus, wouldn’t be much of a challenge for them, but they cannot downplay the Seagulls either.
“I am so happy – no nerves at all. I was nervous before Liverpool, seven points behind, and we could have been 10 points behind,” said Guardiola.

“It was, ‘Ah, it will be so difficult’. But not now, no way. I sleep like a little boy. It is a dream, a privilege, I love it.”
The Spaniard went on to add that he is not required to deliver any motivative speech to the team before the game as the players are determined enough to win it. “They want to win the Premier League. What I saw in the training sessions – they want to win it. We are going to go out there at Brighton at 3 o’clock to win the game.”
“We have not spoken for two or three days about the Premier League (title) or back-to-back, or what happens if we lose, about celebrations if we win, zero.”
