The Portuguese talisman moved to the Turin-based club in the summer for a club record fee.

The football season is back in Europe and the Italian Seria A is set to start today, with reigning champions Juventus taking on Chievo Verona. The biggest transfer of this window has been Cristiano Ronaldo's move from Real Madrid to Juve. Fans all over the world can't wait to see the Portuguese talisman in action for his new club.

There wait is to be shortlived as Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has already confirmed that Ronaldo is all set to make his Seria A debut against Chievo Verona in their opening league fixture. Manager Massimiliano Allegri himself told about the inclusion of Ronaldo in the opening fixture and also confirmed that other players like Miralem Pjanic, Wojciech Szczesny, Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci wil also start the opening fixture, looking for another title defence.

The manager also went on to claim that the Portuguese superstar as an "easy-going lad," "Ronaldo's settling in well and he's a simple lad to deal with. It's only natural that the more we play together, the better things will get, and this will only benefit the team. However, we must not think that just because we've got Ronaldo, we'll win. We still need to prove that Juventus are technically better now. We're going to have to put our hearts into it and have passion and determination, but in all of this, we are going to have to work."

Although, Chievo almost got relegated last season Allegri has cautioned his team not to take them lightly. The Bianconeri will look to begin their seventh Scudetto defence with an away win and all eyes will be on Ronaldo and how he adapts himself in this new league.

With Ronaldo's arrival, The Old Lady look like a solid unit and it will be interesting to see how they fare in the Champions League. The Italian champions have gone close in recent seasons, but have failed to lift the prestigious trophy. Now, with the trophy's most favourite child in their ranks, it will be a challenge for Allegri and his men to reach that level.

Speaking about Ronaldo's addition to the squad considering the objective of winning the Champions League Allegri said, "Our first objective is to get through the Champions League group stage. We've got to win our games and that is the only truth out there on the field. Real Madrid had a great Champions League season last year, but they didn't do well in the league.

"Ronaldo's curious [about Serie A] and this is a new season for us and it is going to be harder because we've signed Cristiano. Our squad has improved, but so too have the others: Inter, Roma, Lazio... so it will be difficult," he added.
