The Lions could not keep their lead intact as the Kolkata outfit came back with a flurry of goals.
ATK brushed aside Delhi Dynamos 3-4 in a thrilling goalfest to enter the Super Cup semifinals. It was Delhi who broke the deadlock through Sajid Dhot before Balwant Singh came up with his heroics and took the game away from the Lions by scoring a hattrick. Nandhakumar scored a late goal to keep the hopes alive for Delhi but it was way too much work in the end for the home side.
Here are the Indian player ratings from the match.
Delhi Dynamos
Albino Gomes- 4.5
A tough night for Albino Gomes as he made a mess of his positioning, was slow in coming out of lines and definitely it was a night to forget for the young custodian. However, his defenders did not help his cause as Balwant Singh looked like a man with the Midas' touch, as he looked like scoring with every shot he took.
Narayan Das- 5.0
Another average outing for Narayan Das, he was completely dominated by Everton Santos, as the Brazilian has found form after scoring in the last game. He teamed up with Lanzarote and kept Das busy in defence and did not allow the India international to push up the field to help his wingers.
Sajid Dhot- 6.0
Opened the scoring for Delhi with a calm and composed header, as he was at the right position at the right time. However things started to change after that, the India u23 international was getting caught out of position as he failed to keep up the pace with Jayesh Rane and Pritam Kotal teaming up on the right flank. Sajid was substituted by Shubham later on in the second half.
Lallianzuala Chhangte- 6.5
Chhangte has been Delhi's go-to man when it comes to creating chances and the youngster has not let his coach down on this department. Blessed with blistering pace and trickery Chhangte terrorized the ATK defence throughout the game with his movements. It was from his cross Delhi found their second goal in the first half as Daniel found himself at the end of it and slotted it past Debjit.
Nandhakumar Sekar- 6.0
It was a decent outing for Nandha as he complemented Chhangte pretty well. The duo has a brilliant sense understanding and swapped wings on various occasions catching the ATK defence by surprise. However, he needs to work on his final delivery in the final third, as he was very wasteful with that final ball in the box. Nevertheless, the winger was rewarded for his efforts late on as his shot went in after a deflection from Bikey.
Daniel Lalhlimpuia- 5.5
Apart from the goal in the first half, Daniel was there just to fill numbers for the Lions. His movements in the final was completely read by the ATK defenders as the likes of John Johnson and Andre Bikey kept him at bay. He has a knack of scoring crucial goals and despite scoring one did not have that much impact in the attacking play.
Substitutions
Bikramjit Singh- 6.0
The experienced midfielder came in for Carmona at the hour and shielded his backline pretty well. The Lions were getting exposed on the counters and Gombau brought in Bikramjit to address that issue to which he did a commendable job.
Shubham Sarangi- 5.0
Replaced Sajid Dhot on the 74th minute as Josep Gombau's men pushed for the equalising goal by increasing more men in midfield. However, the youngster had a very nominal impact in the play and did not serve the purpose for which he was trusted by Gombau
Romeo Fernandes- 5.0
Replaced Chhangte on the 80th minute as Gombau looked to inject some raw pace to the game in search for the equaliser. However Romeo was unable to break the ATK defence with his pace as they defended in numbers in the dying minutes of the match.

ATK
Debjit Majumdar- 5.5
Contrast to the previous game, Debjit was not at his best against Delhi. He did not look confident in catching the long balls. However the defenders did not help his cause but still, the former Mohun Bagan man has shown his mettle earlier and today was definitely not his night.
Pritam Kotal- 6.0
Excellent in attack but poor in defence, that has been the case for Pritam Kotal against his former side. The India international was out of position on numerous occasions and both Chhangte and Nandhakumar were smart to capitalize on the acres of space to get in behind him.
Ricky Lallawmawma- 6.0
It was a tough outing for the former Mohun Bagan man, as he was mostly on his toes and was forced to defend a lot as both Chhangte and Nandha swapped wings. However, with time Ricky found his feet in the game and did manage his lines well. With tougher fixtures ahead Ricky will definitely look to improve on his game.
Jayesh Rane- 6.5
The former Aizawl FC man was a livewire on the right flank, as he kept the Delhi defenders on their toes with his sleek passing and movement. His daunting run from the right created the opportunity for Lanzarote to take the lead in the first half.
Pronay Halder- 6.0
The India international was again not at his best and was getting outrun by Davilla and Tebar on numerous occasions. Pronay conceded some cheap fouls in the middle of the park. However, his work rate was very impressive as he put in those hard yards bailing his side out from tough instances.
Balwant Singh- 9.0
The veteran Indian forward has found his goal scoring boots at the right time for Steve Coppell's men. He was exceptional on the night as the completely bamboozled the Delhi defence on numerous occasions, scoring a hattrick for his side and also bagging the man of the match award. Coppell will need more of this as they enter the semifinals of the Super Cup. It was a sheer display of individual brilliance from Balwant.
Substitutions
Arnab Mondal- 6.0
Arnab Mondal came in for John Johnson on the halfway of the second half, as the Englishman was already on a booking. The veteran centre back did no harm to his reputation as he held the line brilliantly with his no-nonsense defending.
Hitesh Sharma- 5.0
Replaced their talisman Lanzarote on the 68th minute, as Coppell probably wanted to keep his main man fresh ahead of the crucial semifinal. The young man could not replicate the same kind of impact which Lanzarote had in the game.

The young sensation was brought on for Jayesh Rane on the 77th minute. It is always a treat to watch the young winger from Sikkim play as he showed good composure on the ball and ran with the ball well as ATK were mainly trying to hold on to the lead.
