For the next couple of weeks international football will replace club football on television screens.

The third international break of the season has come calling and with it a lineup of mouth-watering fixtures that will catch the eyes of football fans all over the globe.

European countries are grabbing a lot of attention thanks to the UEFA Nations League which pits the best teams from the continent against each other. Apart from that, there is a lot to offer from other corners of the world as well.

Therefore, we pick the top-five games that one must watch in the upcoming international break:

Brazil vs Uruguay - 16 November, 2019

This iconic South American clash between two giants in Brazil and Uruguay will be played at the Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal. The friendly is sure to provide buckets full of entertainment when South American flair will be on full flow in London.

Brazil are on a good run of late. With a victory against arch-rivals Argentina in their previous fixture, the Selecao are undefeated in their last four.

As for the Uruguayan side, despite narrowingly losing their last match to Japan, they are on song when it comes to scoring. Eight goals in last three games makes them tough competitors in every respect. This particular fixture has all the makings of a goal-fest.

Croatia vs Spain - 16 November, 2018

The last meeting between these heavyweights of European football ended up in Spain putting six goals past Croatia without reply, the perfect revenge for the previous defeat in the group stages of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

This UEFA Nations League matchup gives a perfect opportunity for Zlatko Dalic and his men to avenge their earlier defeat and win their first game of the competition.

The Spanish side, under the new boss, Luis Enrique have looked dangerous on the ball, almost unplayable on occasion. However, a narrow defeat to England last time around was a small hiccup in an otherwise exceptional run. A total 14 goals in last four games in all competitions make them one of the most exciting teams to watch.

Netherlands vs France - 17 November, 2018

In the previous clash between these two nations, it was France that came out as winners by a 2-1 scoreline, where the Netherlands team were outplayed by a strong display from the reigning world champions.

Since then, the Flying Dutchmen thwarted away the Germans 3-0 in their next Nations League fixture and are looking strong to turn tides in their favor against the Les Bleus.

Memphis Depay has been on a hot-streak this season and will be a constant threat going forward for the Netherlands. As for France, they will be without the services of Manchester United duo, Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba, who are unavailable due to injuries.

Jordan vs India - 17 November, 2018

The friendly is slated to be one of the key fixtures for India in their preparation for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup next year. The Blue Tigers displayed an incredible effort to etch out a draw against China in their last friendly, which is no mean feat, especially playing as visitors. Picking up from that result, the Indian outfit will look to get a positive result against an equally competitive side in Jordan.

However, unavailability of their captain marvel, Sunil Chhetri can dampen the spirits of Stephen Constantine's men. All eyes will be on the King Abdullah International Stadium when India takes on Jordan, as they will be up against tall odds.

Germany vs Netherlands - 20 November, 2018

UEFA Nations League has received many praises for the reason that it brings such exciting clashes thick & fast. Right after facing France, the next match-up for the Flying Dutchmen is a tie against Die Mannschaft.

The reverse fixture was a disappointing one for Joachim Low’s men. Despite having more control of the game, the inability to convert their chances cost them the game.

The next meeting between these two solid sides will serve as a perfect opportunity for Germans to finally win their first Nations League fixture.

This international break is going to be pretty interesting with some pretty well-poised fixtures. The biggest highlight will be Wayne Rooney's testimonial England match against USA on 16th November. The former Manchester United and Three Lions skipper is also his nation's highest ever-goalscorer and will be playing one last time for his national team.

There we have it, an incredible line-up to look forward to during the international break spread across various different competitions.
