Well, here is some news for all the football fans out there! Lionel Messi is the highest paid footballer in Europe, ahead of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Antoine Griezmann, and Neymar.
French publication L'Equipe revealed the numbers in its annual report regarding the highest salaries in world football. The news doesn't come as a surprise, as Messi is still the main talisman for a star-studded Barcelona side, and also has a few more years left in him.

Alexis Sanchez - £1.93m per month (Manchester United, Premier League)

It doesn't come as a surprise to see that Alexis Sanchez is the highest paid player from the Premier League.
Currently experiencing a downfall, the Chilean is no the player he was for Arsenal, Barcelona and Udinese. Sanchez has become a shadow of his past. But when United bought him for a free transfer, a lot was expected from the South American, but until now he has failed.
Neymar - £2.68m per month (PSG, Ligue 1)
PSG's prized possession, Neymar, is one of the most talented players in the world right now. Already 27-years-old, the Brazilian attacker hasn't won a Ballon d'Or yet, but could in the future if he raise his game a notch higher.
In a team consisting of the likes of Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe, the former Barcelona man has made a name for himself in Ligue 1 with some fascinating goals and assists. Although, the cash-strapped club bought him for the Champions League, the Brazilian still needs time to prove his mettle.
