In the early stages of Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, the Indian contingent has been delivering impressive performances in various disciplines. India's men's volleyball team are on a mission, while nine Indian rowers have booked their spots in the finals.

Table Tennis saw impressive performances from both the men’s and women’s teams on September 22 (Saturday). Both the table tennis teams continued their momentum and topped their respective groups.

Later in the evening, the opening ceremony of the Asian Games 2023 took place at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium.

Women's Team (Preliminary Round | Group F)

India's Diya Chitale, Suthirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee registered a dominating 3-0 win over the Nepalese women's team to top the Group F. Diya/ Sutirtha/ Ayhika all won their respective matches without dropping a single game.

Men's Team (Preliminary Round | Group F)

India's men's team also registered a dominating 3-0 win over Tajikistan. Manush Shah, Manav Thakkar and Harmeet Desai registered straight games win in all the three matches and topped the Group table F.

  • Boy’s Dinghy – ILCA4 – Adhvait Menon finished 7th with 18 points
  • Women’s Skiff – 49erFX – Harshita Tomar/Shital Verma finished 4th with 6 points
  • Girl’s Dinghy – ILCA4 – Neha Thakur finished 3rd with 8 points
  • Women’s Single Dinghy – ILCA6 – Nethra Kumanan finished 5th with 12 points
  • Mixed Multihull – Nacra 17 – Inder Doiphode/Ramya Saravanan finished 3rd with 6 points
  • Men’s Windsurfer RS:X – Eabad Ali finished 4th with 8 points
  • Men’s Kite – IKA Formula Kite – Chitresh Tatha finished 7th with 52 points
  • Men’s Dinghy – ILCA7 – Vishnu Saravanan finished 2nd with 12 points
